Al Bastakiya

This is one of the most recommendedtourist attractions in Dubai located along the Dubai creek and gives you the feel of the history of the city. The old houses, made of stone, teak, gypsum, palm wood, and sandalwood, in Bastakiya have been preservedas the last surviving examples of Dubais past. Sunni Iranian merchants, who moved to Dubai in the late 1890s, are thought to have built the structures. Visitors to Al Bastakiya will find a variety of interesting attractions in the areamdash;the Architectural Heritage Society, Majlis Gallery, the Coffee Museum, Shaikh Muhammad Center for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU), Mawaheb gallery, etc.

Dubai Museum

This museum is housed within the Al Fahidi Fort and it has some fascinating displays of historical significance.The fort, which was originally constructed in 1787, served as the royal house, arsenal, and prison until it was restored under the reign of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.It was reopened as Dubai Museum in 1971, the year that UAE was established. The Museum gives us a taste of everyday life in the UAE prior to the discovery of oil.

Souks

You can take a short boat ride from the old town to Deira, which has some of the most spectacular souks in continuance of the trading past of Dubai. For years traders docked by the banks carrying coffee, es, and gold from around the world. Nothing has changed today, and the creek is bustling with yachts and Arabian dhows navigating together. The Gold Souk located here is a must see on a visit to Dubai. Browse the bustling and glistening souk for some amng jewellery pieces. Explore the Spice Souk for some aromatic herbs and es and exotic selection of nuts, oils and saffron.

The Dubai Frame

The unique Dubai Frame is 150 metres high, 93 metres wide, and frames two sides of the city. To the north, the citys historic area can be seen, while to the south, the citys modern skyline can be viewed.At the Skydeck, you can cross a transparent gl bridge, the floor of which is made of liquid crystal and becomes clear when someone steps on it.Youll feel like youre walking on air! Jumeirah

Dubai Dubai Garden Glow
